We are seeking an experienced developer to build a program that will give users a controlled TV-like experience. This app will allow users to replicate the TV-viewing experience. They will be presented with a menu of channel & content options (see attached image), pulled from a SQL Server database. The content will be static--it does not need to change over time. The app should be controlled by an external device that replicates a TV remote as closely as possible, such as a remote with Bluetooth USB receiver. Users should be able to scroll through content options before making a selection. After making their selection, users will be redirected to a fullscreen video player which plays their chosen content. Functionality should be as reminiscent as possible of a DVR-capable TV experience--the ability to pause/play as well as fast-forward/rewind.
