Body
I'm trying to create a website that crowdsources data about physician residency programs. I have the basic design and layout of the website already in wireframes. I need to find a person or company that's an expert in database design and administration, the major website CMSs (have not decided the best CMS). Also, we need to verify user registration using a 3rd party website if possible. There are approximately 4,500 residency programs in the US divided into about 36 specialties. We would like to allow users to input information so that we can build profiles on the residency programs. Much of the website should be formatted similar to a spreadsheet allowing for easy access and comparison of data for users. Would like to discuss in more detail.
Languages that interest us: Node.js, Java, Scala, Go, Ruby. We’d prefer to use these technologies. We want to avoid PHP as its paradigm doesn’t fit that of the real-time functionality which we’d require. Though if you have a good reason to use PHP or a technology that isn’t listed we’d be interested in hearing why.
We provide a database model with the primitive tables defined. We modeled our database to MySQL, though we are open to Postgres. We are not willing to settle for another database as our model is well represented with a RDBMS. We require transactions as well, which seem to be missing in most nosql databases.
Models, wireframe, and further information is attached as a zip.
