We are a small business that has had several financial people working on our books, both bookkeepers and a CFO. Quite frankly, it is in a state of disarray. We began with Quickbooks desktop and our current bookkeeper has migrated us to Quickbooks online. She has attempted to clean up some of our financials but she is not an accountant and cannot manage some of the more complex issues. In addition, she is unable to keep up with timely tax (business and employment) tax filings. We are looking to contract with an accountant or a bookkeeper with some higher level accountancy background who is able to stay on top of things and advise on crucial financial issues.
