Hi, I have built my own rpi security system with a webcam that streams live video to a local webserver. I am curious what exactly you are asking for optimizations? Do you want a program to run automatically and alert you by email if something goes wrong? Do you want the video streams to be downloaded and safely stored in a database? I can do these things and more.

We have worked on many projects on raspberry pi2 and 3b, b+.Projects like mirror image of my phone to pi, Apps for crome, youtube, Music Player etc. and Projects on camera like capturing images and making a video of an event and many image processing projects and for audio output we have use Bluetooth speakers, monitor/TV speakers, and other module speakers.
