My indie game company is looking for a 2D Flash animator/artist to create characters and vanity pets for us. About us: Our game is a browser-based multiplayer game which is live and in alpha after being successfully funded on Kickstarter. The company consists of two full-time programmers, one contract 3D artist and a contract music studio. We have over 70,000 registered users (did I mention we are still only in alpha?) and are growing very quickly. For more information about the game, contact us directly. About the work: You will be responsible for creating in-game characters and vanity pets with Flash. These will be in a light-hearted, cartoony style. Our current 2D artist is not passionate about the project and we want someone who is going to put in the extra effort to make these characters really awesome. Once we find someone we like, the work will be steady. We will require a new pet and new character every two weeks, if not more. How to I get the job? We will screen applicants by their portfolios first of all. If we like what we see, we will ask you to do a quick concept art of a Grim Reaper character. He should be cartoony but menacing. After we see that you have the art chops we are looking for, we will ask for some example character animations from your previous work along with how long it would take you to create a character and animate it. After passing all these requirements, you will get a steady contractor position with us.
