I have worked on a similar project involving recommending similar jewellery to the user if has liked or bought some type of jewellery. If allocated the project I will use a cluster-based approach to solve the problem or APS algorithm both have been shown to show a good result. However, if some kind of user data for eg user ratings for the product is available then we can use collaborative filtering to recommend a similar product. I have a good amount of experience in AI but honestly, in this case, all you need is a good database and an easy way to browse it. Still, an AI could be used to predict and suggest a menu based on what that person might have ordered in the past.
