VLC File Selecting Feature Needed

I have music and video files in a my computer that are all given the names 001, 002, 003, 004 etc. I want to be able to select and play each file by entering it's numerical name. 1) I can enter multiple files to play in sequence. For example: 005, 006, 007, 075, 056, 012, 458, 965 -Each time I enter these numerical names, it will be displayed on screen and fade away without further user interface. -VLC will play the sequence completely till end of last song selected. -Once all selected files are played, VLC should play the next file of the last file just played. 2) This feature should not interrupt the normal functionality of VLC 3) You need to make good records and show me what was edited so If I need to integrate this into a newer version of VLC. All sources once edited and project complete, must be given to me. Easy enough? This should be a small and quick project for someone experienced in C. The sources are found at [login to view URL] .
