The author of nine published novels, I have over fifteen years editing and ghost-writing experience. In that time, I have worked with all kinds of different writers - from first-time authors to the far more established - writing in all kinds of different genres: historical, literary, YA, sci-fi/fantasy, literary, romance, thriller, etc.
Having had a quick look at your manuscript, it looks as if the book is in quite good shape already, but will need a little tightening and paring places, and a change-up of word choices here and there. I would, therefore, edit the novel in three stages. Firstly, a basic edit to eliminate any typos, grammatical lapses, the repetition of words and phrases, etc. Secondly, a more developmental edit, focusing on plot, structure, pacing, character arcs, etc. And thirdly, a final read-through to ensure your work has that essential professional polish.
I use Track Changes in Word (and would ideally like to work from a Word doc.), and make a start right away. Also, would be more than happy to offer any advice on the publishing world, whether you're thinking of going down the traditional route and querying agents, or looking to self-publish.
I look forward to hearing from you.
