We have a Java project, that needs to invoke functionality on a COM server. We are looking for someone to help us get this working and what ever is the bets way that you suggest we are fine. Our thoughts 1. If we can create some sort of wrapper around the COM server and have java invoke it, that would be preferable 2. Another alternative, is to expose the COM server capabilities as a web service, that can then be called from our Java application 3. Would prefer, if we dont have to include any paid components to accomplish this But all in all, what ever you suggest, we would be ok with that. We will provide the .exe and/or .tlb file and .idl file. As a start, if you can invoke a method by passing parameters and get back the result in Java, that would be great.
