Access / VBA ANSI 837 Medical Billing Format

We have an existing medical software application that uses an Access MDB for its data storage. Our existing billing application is already capable of creating printed invoices and CMS 1500 "Print Files". We wish to extend the program so that it can create ANSI X12 837 format files for electronic billing. We need a coder with knowledge of the 837 format. The existing medical billing data should provide all the information that is required. This is an extraction / translation project primarily. We would like to request VBA based formatting functions that produce 837 from our existing database. We will provide a copy of our program, which consists of a compiled MDE "Front End" and an MDB "Back End", from which you can draw the data you will need. We can provide assistance regarding the program and it's structures. However, we need someone who fully understands the ANSI 837 format. We need a format expert; that is the purpose of this project. ## Deliverables 1) VBA functions that read information from our database (mdb) and create correctly formatted 837 output. These functions will be integrated into our existing application. The function(s) should receive the primary key of the patient's record and the date range of charges to include. The function(s) should return a string, (which will later be written to the file). 2) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform The VBA macros you write should be compatible with Access 97 - Access 2003.
