DB Creation and Querying

We are creating a database that will offer details of bars/clubs in certain cities. This directory of information will be need to be sortable and searchable. The main things that we need designed are: 1) We need the actual directory built according to specifications I can provide for all bidders. It's just some basic table construction in mysql. The database will be housed online on our site. 2) We need something built that will facilitate easy input of data into this database. 3) We need the search algorithm built so that if someone types in the name of a bar the search will return that bar's demographics (other elements of search come into play here, so we can discuss how the search algorithm will work). 4) We want the online search page to be sortable by certain demographics, so if you click "bar" it returns only bars in the DB and if you further click "allows credit cards" it will include only bars that allow credit cards. That's it -- can get into specifics with anyone interested. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). Deliverables are as follows: 1) Complete database designed and ready for input based on demographic info to be given. 2) An efficient way to input data into the site (method to be discussed, but preferably something that can extract from excel or is inputtable via a website) in full working form that interphases with the working directory (see 1) 3) A working webpage that has both a search field that returns search results as per our search discussion and offers sortable functionality as discussed (if you click "bar", the results field returns only results in the database that are "bars", etc). For both search and sort, we would like a googlemap on the results page that has a flag on each of the top 10 results. ## Platform DB work needs to be done in our mysql database. search query and other webpage applications should be written in PHP and function in all 4.0+ versions of Internet Explorer and Netscape, and all versions of Safari and Firefox.
