Design Custom, Dynamic Button Interface Framework

Hello!! Thank you for your interest in my project. I would like to give you a little more detail so we can find out if this is something you feel you can accomplish. I need the framework for a dynamic webpage interface. The interface will consist of a set of buttons. These buttons will need to use an API call to play back audio. I have all the information for the API. Upon clicking the buttons, the audio will play and, depending on which button is clicked, a different set of buttons will be displayed. At all times, there will need to be general menu available to navigate to certain sets of buttons, along with a set of buttons that will always be displayed. The overall layout of the interface needs to be as narrow as possible. And it is VERY important that we have the fastest response times possible. I am thinking it will all need to be loaded into a single webpage so there won't be any loading delays. The purpose of this interface is to simulate a conversation with someone. The framework needs to be replicatable, as we may build from the original plan, edit buttons, add buttons, etc. With a little instruction, I am confident that we will be able to do the ongoing work. I really just need the starting framework. I already have an idea for the layout and the tree of effects. Really, all that is needed is customizable buttons that can do one of three things: play audio, play audio and display new set of buttons, or just display a new set of buttons. And I will need to be able to define what audio is played (done with the API call), what the buttons display, and where the buttons reside.
