Hello, i can develop the application for you within 5 days. I'm gonna use C#.NET technology, utilizing free to use packages from NuGet (microsoft's official package location) to OCR car's number plates. The application could run as a windows service or even be a desktop application. Deliverables would be executable wndows binary (the application itself) and fully documented source code in VisualStudio solution format. Let me have a few words on how the process would look like: - i suppose you might have a source of images (or motion picture) recording cars arriving to your company - these images (or motion picture) should be flushed somewehere on file system (in a folder) which folder would be continously monitored by the application - OCR processing of image frames would occur and the application would check if a "number-plate" like object appears in the image - if so then the content of the number-plate would be saved in database (or alert sent to let's say an email address) Pls. I have a vast experience with OCR which would be needed for licence plate recognition since I have worked on several projects that needed OCR to be implemented. One of those projects was Roulette predictor which predicts the stopping point of the ball before the bets are closed and then automatically places the bet by find the number by OCR on the table and clicking it. This software had bot programming that means that different tables were too selected through OCR. Another software that I developed in which OCR was used was student attendance calculator in which a picture of teachers attendance sheet was used to calculate the total percentage of attendance students had so I really feel comfortable with this project. Believe me, I can really do this project in a better way.

i worked on car parking projects in past with sensor based, so i can handle this well. This can be done with pi board or pc connected to camera if you are ok. we can implement this without camera also. question? is this data going to update any database?
