Windows based POS system for Retail Background: POS project is to be developed in the way to suit demands of retail business, by providing simple, innovative and cost effective solution. To match these demands POS system should be developed by using Open Source technologies and with minimal hardware requirements which will not affect the performance of whole system. During the development stage of the POS system, hardware which will be required or recommended to run the complete and operational POS should be from famous brands and easily found in the market where the POS system is intended to be distributed. Audience(Customers) of POS system: the system will be proposed to customers who are operating in retail and wholesale business with one or many retail shops and warehouses. POS system should be designed in the manner that it will not be requiring more than 1 hour of training to the new POS operators and not more than 3 hours of training to the Administrators/Supervisors users who will be responsible to maintain data entry and daily reports.
