VB6 Contract Developer (Changing software to support unicode)

We have a product which is developed in VB6. Most of the product currently supports unicode with the exception of the grids. Currently the grids use a product called DataDynamics GridEx v2.0.2215. We want to change these grids to use CodeJock Xtreme Report Control 15.0.1. Some grids are just straight forward lists and some grids have edit and update features. There are about 150 grids to be changed. There would be two approaches to this 1. Go through each and every screen and replace the existing grid with the new grid (this is not our preferred route as it will be very time consuming but if it is the only option then so be it) 2. To create a new usercontrol which supports all of the features of the GridEx grid so that we can just replace the grid on the screens with the new developed user control. (this would be the preferred option)
