Webdesign for a company from scratch

We are a small start up in the pre "public" phase. There is an existing logo, which can be used but also altered if reasonable from a design point of view. Basically we are looking for a designer to create the front-end of our website and work closely with our IT Admin, who is in charge of the backend. Based on the two examples [login to view URL] [login to view URL] we'd like this functionality approach, because we would like to explain how to use our product in a few steps. Those steps can be pictures and/or videos. All rich media should play directly on the site, fully integrated, no lightbox. Talking about integration, we are planning a "newsroom", where all our feeds from various social networks are combined [login to view URL] At this point we consider google+, Facebook, youtube and a blog. The blog splits - depending on the category - in press releases and other posts. Those categories must be sorted correctly in the blog and PR section. Regarding blog, we haven't decided on the blog technology yet and are open to suggestions. We are even open to set up a blog and build the page "around it", if this is feasible. Last but not least we have a login section, where users are enabled to login and jump to our database to edit entries. After the login the design can change in the meaning of size (wide and height) and Navigationstructure. This part of our website is not used by the public and only needs to meet the requirements of good GUI by using the database. The front end of the website should look cool, slick and professional, whereas the database part has to fulfill another purpose. All others navigation options are "only filled with text".
