Mac OS X (Cocoa) desktop application in Objective-C

* Create a Mac application with same functionality as existing Microsoft Windows desktop application. * The Mac application will be Cocoa based and written in Objective-C and compile/build/run on Xcode v3.2.4 OSX Snow Leopard * Application will communicate with a Web Service. A working example Objective -C application will be supplied that demonstrates the web service interface. * The Microsoft Windows desktop application will be supplied to the programmer to demonstrate the required functionality. Programmer will therefore need access to a Microsoft Windows PC with connection to the internet. * Programmer must be capable of creating a cocoa application and have experience in network programming and XML. ## Deliverables * The application uploads files from a mac computer to a server over an http network connection. A web service on the server provides a SOAP 1.1 interface that controls the management and upload of files. The application will use 9 web service methods. The programmer will be given access to a live web service allowing the application to be fully tested. * The application allows users to browse files and upload them to the server. The application user interface will display a grid listing the status of file uploads ie pending, uploaded or failed. The application will upload files in the background and display the progress of an upload in the grid. The application will allow the user to input information about each file and will also allow common information to be input against multiple files selected from the grid. The application will queue uploads. The user interface will work whilst uploading runs in the background allowing the user to choose more files to upload or edit information about an upload. The contents of the grid will be persistent and saved/restored from an xml file. The application will support both manual and automatic uploading of files. In manual mode a button will be displayed against each file in the grid allowing the user to manually initiate an upload. In automatic mode the application will upload files from the grid without user intervention. * Screen shots from the existing Microsoft Windows application have been attached.
