installing and troubleshooting Windows 7

Hi I installed Windows 7, upgrade from XP 1. The USB Modem (use for Fax) is not recognized by the OS and I can;t activating it (worked OK on XP). I try install the Modem Driver but the Win7 doesn't find the modem and I can't install the driver 2. I installed Corel Paint Shop and am looking how to set the Corel P.S the default choice for jpg/png view Accessing to <Start/Default Program> the Corel is not include in the list. How can I set Paint Shop as a default viewer or how can I add the program to the <Start/Default Program> table Possibly on-line (remote access) support might be effective for a per-hour payment Thank you
