Custom Post Type WordPress Template: Document Archive

The project is to create a WordPress template based on Custom Post Types, incl. a control panel view: A single-page document archive based on Custom Post Types for Word and similar documents (these will be templates for print advetisements, flyers, etc.), browsable/searchable by categories and tags. Not very different from this: [login to view URL] The page should include: 1. A listing of articles, approx. 30 per page (5x6 or similar) featuring a Thumbnail and a Title for each article 2. A vertial "Categories" menu on the left 3. A search field 4. A "sort by" menu: Size, Number of downloads, Date An article should include: 1. Title: text string (name of article, e.g. "Party flyer") 2. Featured Image: This will be a pdf (or rather something generated from a pdf) of the Word document. The soulution should take an uploaded pdf and generate the Featured Image and the Thumbnail. 4. Download links: This links to the Word file (or other kind of document, e.g. InDesign, Scribus, etc.). An article should be able to "hold" up to five different such documents. 5. "Description": a short text 6. Format: (as in physical size of a printed document), width x height in mm (e.g. 246x144 mm) 7. A counter for number of times the item has been downloaded (example files: Word doc and pdf)
