Priorities: Papua, Maluku, Nusa Tenggara Timur, Sulawesi, Kalimantan
IMPORTANT: Bahasa Indonesia, Basa Jawa (Javanese), Sunda, Madura, Bali, and other major languages do NOT qualify.
Only looking for rare, not common, languages.
New freelancers are more than welcome; no experience required, but you will need to be a fluent speaker of a language that is not a large regional or national language.
I am a linguist (language scientist) trying to collect data for as many poorly documented languages as possible. Projects include typing word lists of your language, providing audio recordings, and so forth. Budget range is a placeholder. Large, long-term projects can be worth much more.
I work closely with translators and scientists around the world, and have successfully completed projects on many freelancers' languages in Asia and Africa.
